THE ENTERPRISE SUPPORT GRANT - What Every Small Business Owner Needs to Know

The Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty has announced that her Department’s Enterprise Support Grant will be made available to assist self-employed recipients who are exiting the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) scheme with a 𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚-𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙤 €𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚-𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨.


These are the details that are available (more to follow in the coming weeks):

Available to Self-Employed individuals who are exiting the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) scheme. This is a once-off grant of up to €1,000, to be used to re-start their business. In order to avail of the grant businesses MUST: Be Tax & PRSI 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙩. Have been in receipt of the 𝙋𝙐𝙋 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝘾𝙇𝙊𝙎𝙀𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙄𝙍 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙄𝙈. Have 𝙧𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 their business. Employ 𝙛𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝟭𝟬 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚. Have annual turnover (sales) of 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 €𝟭 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣. NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE COVID19 RESTART GRANT OR OTHER SIMILAR BUSINESS REOPENING GRANTS. Not be liable for 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨. Produce valid receipts/invoices in respect of 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙨.


Further details to be announced in the coming weeks. This is good news for those small business owners who did not match the criteria to avail of the Restart Grant. €1,000 can be a lifeline for a small business and this is a very welcome announcement 😀👍
